The work

The album, preserved in the Archivio centrale dello Stato, reconstructs through documentary material the imprisonment of "damned of Asinara". Prisoners and refugees were accommodated in the branches and camps: many were killed by epidemics. The album through 51 photographs (black and white, with original color corrections) 11 between seedlings, maps, charts and drawings 3 2 represents scenes of everyday life: from the arrival at the Organization of the fields, places of stay. The work completed by an essay that reconstructs the events of the time in which the story of Asinara has been intertwined with the history of Italy.
